Eight evenings with Dr. Eric Walsh, MD, DrPH — physician, public-health expert, and advisor to two U.S. presidents — on the eight natural remedies, and the science of why they heal. A week of gourmet plant-based meals, spa treatments, nature walks, and daily wellness education, in the last golden week of Okanagan summer.
All-inclusive — meals, lectures, spa treatments, cooking demos & more
The to-do list never ends. Sleep doesn’t come easy. You keep promising yourself you’ll slow down, eat better, take care of yourself — but there’s always something more urgent.
Maybe your doctor mentioned some numbers you didn’t like. Maybe you’re just tired of feeling tired.
You don’t need another app or another article. You need a week where someone else handles everything — and you finally have space to breathe, learn, and heal.
That week exists. And it’s closer than you think.
The Eight Natural Laws of Health aren’t trends — they’re time-tested principles used by lifestyle medicine programs worldwide. Simple, practical, and backed by decades of evidence.
Cooking classes teach you to prepare a sampling of the gourmet plant-based meals you’ll eat all week. You’ll go home with recipes, confidence, and a protocol you actually understand.
Seven days of nourishing food, nature walks through mountain trails, spa treatments, and rest. Guests report reduced inflammation, better sleep, and renewed energy.
This isn’t information overload. It’s a clear, sustainable framework for wholistic health — built on eight time-tested principles and backed by cutting-edge research.
Arrive a guest, leave as family. By the end of the week, guests often share phone numbers, and encouraging each other to keep going.
Let the rest of the world wait. Your only notifications out here could be the rustling of the wind in the trees and the rhythm of your heartbeat.

What Makes Silver Hills Different
Come as a guest. Leave as family.
At Silver Hills, wellness isn’t just a program — it’s a personal journey guided by people who genuinely care. Our staff takes the time to truly listen, to understand what you need, and to adapt your experience accordingly. Hours of conversation. Thoughtful adjustments. The kind of attention that guests say they’ve never experienced anywhere else.
Some guests respond with deep emotion. Not because something is wrong — but because they finally feel truly cared for. Often for the first time in years.
This is what 40 years of caring for people looks like. Since 1984, when Phil and Eileen Brewer moved out of their own bedroom to welcome their first guest, Silver Hills has been a place where strangers arrive and family leaves. Where healing happens not just through food and education, but through genuine human connection.
One price covers everything — so you can focus entirely on your health.
Nourishing food. Spa treatments. Nature. Rest. Eight evenings with Dr. Eric Walsh on the science of the eight natural remedies. And the kind of personal care that changes people. If you’ve been telling yourself “someday” — what if someday was August 23rd?
Only 12 rooms available — this retreat fills quickly
Many of our guests come solo, but by the end of the week, strangers become friends. People bond over meals, on trails, and in conversation. You may even leave with shared phone numbers and plans to reunite. Silver Hills is a community, not just a program.
Absolutely. Many guests arrive not sure — and leave astounded. Our kitchen creates gourmet plant-based meals using quality produce from our own garden (when in season). As one guest told us: “I had a bias against vegan food. My mind is completely changed. I am absolutely astounded at the quality and deliciousness.” You won’t leave hungry, and you’ll go home with recipes you’ll actually want to make.
Silver Hills is a wellness retreat, not a medical facility. Our approach is education-based — we teach the Eight Natural Laws of Health, a framework used by lifestyle medicine programs worldwide. Many guests come to us managing conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, or weight concerns, and find the education and environment supportive. You’ll leave with practical knowledge you can share with your own healthcare provider.
We understand. But consider this: how much are your health concerns already costing you — in energy, sleep, medical expenses, and quality of life? A week at Silver Hills is an investment in the foundation everything else is built on. Many guests tell us it’s transformative for them.
Our foundation is the Eight Natural Laws of Health — the same framework used by lifestyle medicine programs worldwide. This August, Dr. Eric Walsh, MD, DrPH, brings the modern research behind each remedy. These aren’t trends. They’re simple, practical principles backed by decades of research and 40 years of real-world results at Silver Hills.
Not at all. Dr. Walsh teaches the science first — it stands on its own. Where he draws on timeless wisdom, it’s offered as support, never as a requirement. Guests of every background feel at home here.
