Is This Weekend For You?
This weekend is for every couple.
Whether you want to strengthen something good or begin healing something painful — you belong here.
Enhance what’s great
You’re in a good place — and you want to stay there.
Maybe you’ve weathered some storms and come out stronger. Maybe you’re newlyweds building a foundation. Or maybe life just got busy and you want to be intentional about keeping your connection alive. This weekend will give you research-backed tools to deepen your intimacy, improve your communication, and build something that lasts.
Heal what’s broken
Something hasn’t been right — and you’re ready for it to change.
Maybe the distance between you has been growing. Maybe conflict has become the default. Maybe you’re wondering if it’s too late. It’s not. This weekend is built on the same evidence-based methods used in clinical practice — combined with real stories of marriages restored from the brink. Hope is not a wish. It’s a plan.

Forgiveness as a pathway

Tools you’ll actually use
Leave with a practical toolkit — not just good feelings. Communication exercises, conflict strategies, and connection habits you can practice the moment you get home.
All sessions are grounded in the Gottman Method — the most extensively researched approach to couples therapy in the world.

Common questions
Not at all. This is a marriage enrichment weekend — educational, experiential, and fun. You won’t be asked to share your personal struggles in front of a group. Sessions are presentation-based with practical exercises you do together as a couple. Think of it as a wellness retreat for your relationship.
You’re not alone — many couples have one partner who’s more eager than the other. Here’s what we hear most often: the reluctant partner ends up being the one who’s most grateful they came. The weekend is engaging, not awkward. There’s no forced sharing, no therapy-style vulnerability. Bring the skeptic. We’ve converted plenty.
The presenters are people of faith, and their personal story includes how faith played a role in their restoration. However, the core content is grounded in the Gottman Method — a secular, research-based approach to relationships. Couples of all backgrounds are welcome and will find the content practical and applicable.
Silver Hills serves gourmet whole-food, plant-based meals — and even self-described meat lovers are consistently surprised by how satisfying and delicious the food is. If you have specific allergies or dietary needs, we accommodate those for an additional $50/person.
Silver Hills Wellness Centre is located at 29 Squaw Valley Road in Lumby, BC — about 25 minutes east of Vernon in the Okanagan highlands. The nearest major airports are Kelowna (YLW, ~1.5 hours) and Kamloops (YKA, ~2 hours). Full directions are available on our Getting Here page.
